Chocolate Mug Cake made with Truvia For Baking Brown Sweetener

This simple chocolate cake in a mug is the perfect portion of a fluffy and moist treat.

Ingredients

  • 12 Tbsp Butter

  • 2 Tbsp Water

  • 2 Tbsp Truvia For Baking Brown Sweetener

  • 14 tsp Salt

  • 12 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 2 Tbsp Flour

  • 12 tsp Baking powder

  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa powder

Directions

  • 1.

    Grab your favourite mug.

  • 2.

    In the mug, combine butter and water. Microwave 30-40 seconds, or until butter is melted.

  • 3.

    Add Truvia For Baking Brown Sweetener, salt and the vanilla. Mix with a fork.

  • 4.

    Add baking powder, flour and cocoa powder. Mix again until well combined.

  • 5.

    Microwave for 45-50 seconds or until the cake has risen and is firm on the top.

Different Flavour Options

  • Chocolate chip cookie cake: Add in 2 tsp of semi-sweet chocolate chips before microwaving in step 5.
  • Lemon Blueberry cake: Add 2 Tbsp lemon juice instead of water and add 12-15 blueberries before microwaving in step 5. May take about 10 more seconds in the microwave to bake.
  • Pumpkin spice cake: Add ½ tsp cinnamon, ¼ tsp nutmeg, 18 tsp ground clove, ¼ tsp ground ginger and I Tbsp pumpkin puree before microwaving in step 5. May take about 10 more seconds in the microwave.
